  • The Gu parasite's effect on a human body
  • The effects of a victim trying to resist the Gu's control

Gu poison (고독 (蠱毒), Godok) is a special type of Poison Arts that utilises the abilities of the unique class of toxic worms known as the Gu (고 (蠱), Go). It is a secret art passed down only in Namhwang.[1] Mak Sapyeong was a user of the poison art.

AboutEdit

The Gu are venomous worms that can be implanted inside human bodies and then take control over their host's body. The worms take such effective control over their host's body, that even people that have been bedridden their whole lives can spring to their feet. However, once the worms sense their host is about to die, they explode in an enormous conflagration, with enough destructive force and power to level a castle wall, in order to complete their mission.[1] The worms are completely obedient to the person that controls them and will cease all activity (including their self-detonation ability) when their controller dies.[2]

Alternate TranslationsEdit

  • Parasite Venom (Gou) (LINE)

Notes & TriviaEdit

  • It was originally developed for the purpose of healing, but it turned out to be a very effective assassination technique instead.[1]
